How to Care For Your Custom Mouthguard

A properly maintained mouthguard can help protect your teeth and jaws for many years. To ensure the longevity of your mouthguard, it is important to follow your dentist’s clean and care instructions. This can include:

• Rinsing your mouthguard with cold water after every use and again before inserting it into your mouth.
• Drying it thoroughly before returning it to the protective case
• At least once a week, brushing your mouthguard with a soft toothbrush, soap and lukewarm water to disinfect it.
